Rakeb Sile and Mesai Haileleul are the Co-Founders of Addis Fine Art, established in 2016 as a platform for modern and contemporary art from Ethiopia and its diaspora. Working across Addis Ababa and London, they have shaped the gallery’s curatorial vision, artist representation, and international presence through long-term collaboration and cultural exchange.Lemn Sissay
Lemn Sissay is a prizewinning writer, poet, and broadcaster whose work explores identity, belonging, and resilience across poetry, memoir, and performance. Born in Ethiopia and raised in the United Kingdom, he curated Ethiopia’s national pavilion at the 2024 Venice Biennale.Judith van Helden
Judith van Helden is an art historian, writer, and dealer specialising in African modernist art with a particular emphasis on the Horn of Africa. She has worked internationally with artists, galleries, and institutions, contributing essays and curatorial projects grounded in historical depth and critical clarity.Konjit Seyoum
Konjit Seyoum is the founder of Asni Gallery in Addis Ababa and a pioneering figure in Ethiopia’s contemporary art scene. Through decades of exhibition-making and mentorship, she has supported generations of artists and helped establish vital platforms for artistic exchange, playing a foundational role in the development of the country’s contemporary art ecosystem.Kate Kirby
Kate Kirby is Director of Addis Fine Art London, where she oversees the gallery’s exhibitions, programming, and international engagement.
